A northern star at Sudbury Downs
Gateway Casinos Sudbury stands at 400 Bonin Road, Chelmsford, ON P0M 1L0. The site is the former Sudbury Downs, and the room once went by OLG Slots at Sudbury Downs. It first opened at Sudbury Downs on November 26, 1999. The building is a casino, no longer a racino.
Under Ontario's model, land-based casinos are conducted and managed by OLG. Day-to-day operations are contracted to private service providers. Here that provider is Gateway Casinos & Entertainment. In this guide's night sky, the room is one of the stars in the North constellation. The phone line is 705-855-7164.

On the floor and around it
- Slots: over 400 slot machines fill the floor. A slot machine is a self-contained game you play alone, without a dealer.
- Live tables: six live dealer tables launched on August 25, 2026, the first live tables in the Greater Sudbury market. A live table means a human dealer runs the game. The mix is three Blackjack, one Mississippi Stud, one Four Card Poker and one Hold'em-style table game. The guide does not list a separate poker room.
- Racing is history here. The last day of live harness racing was October 30, 2013, the 2014 season was cancelled, and none has run since. Harness racing is horse racing with a light cart behind each horse. The guide does not list a sportsbook.
- Food and drink come from Champions, which serves light meals, snacks and beverages. The guide does not list a hotel or a show venue at this room.
- Loyalty card: My Club Rewards is the card used here. A loyalty card is a membership card that records your visits and play.
